This article offers detailed guidance on producing a certificate signing request on a Windows Server 2016 using Microsoft IIS 10.

Step 1: SSL Certificate Installation Instructions for cPanel 11

  1. Log in to your cPanel account.
  2. Scroll down to the "Security" section and click on the "SSL/TLS" icon.
  3. In the left pane of the Internet Information Services (IIS) Manager, go to the Connections menu tree and select the server name.
  1. In the "Private Keys (KEY)" section, click on the "Generate, view, upload, or delete your private keys" link.
  2. Under the "Generate a New Key" section, enter a name for the key and click "Generate".
  3. In the "Certificate Signing Requests (CSR)" section, click on the "Generate, view, or delete SSL certificate signing requests" link.
  4. Under the "Generate a New Certificate Signing Request (CSR)" section, select the key that you just generated from the drop-down menu and fill in the required fields.
  5. Click on "Generate" to create the CSR.
  6. In the "Certificates (CRT)" section, click on the "Generate, view, upload, or delete SSL certificates" link.
  7. Under the "Generate a New Certificate" section, enter the CSR that you just created and fill in the required fields.
  8. Click on "Generate" to create the SSL certificate.
  9. In the "Certificates (CRT)" section, click on "Activate/Deactivate SSL for a domain" link.
  10. Select the domain for which you want to activate the SSL certificate, and click on "Activate"
  11. Click on "Return to SSL Manager" to complete the installation process.
